Meg is a performance physiologist, cycling coach, and current PhD student at Loughborough University. Meg’s research focuses on the physiological and perceptual effects of the menstrual cycle on cycling performance.
As a former professional cyclist, Meg’s experience in the sport has driven her passion for exploring cycling performance from a female athlete's perspective. She is an advocate for women’s sport and strives to translate research into practical, evidence-based strategies to improve performance and well-being.
With over five years of coaching and applied physiology experience across endurance and ultra-endurance running, cycling and triathlon, Meg combines academic expertise with hands-on practice.
Meg’s work with professional teams including The Elite Trail Team, DAS-Hutchinson and Q365 Pro Cycling has developed her understanding of high-performance environments and elite athlete needs.
Meg aims to inspire change in female sport by championing inclusive, evidence-based support tailored to female athletes’ physiology, helping advance the field of performance science.
